Busou Shinki: The Book of Konami

This was inspired in part (read: completely ripped off) from the Book of Mozilla, a set of Book of Revelations-esque verses that would appear if you typed in about:mozilla in Firefox's address bar. The verse that is shown onscreen would often reflect some feature of Mozilla's current software, as well as what is going on in the tech world when that software was released (for examples and explanations, click here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Book…

Similarly, I decided to do a similar project with the Shinki figures. For each one I own, I would write up an apocalyptic literature-style verse to go with it, which would somehow tie in to the Shinki it's being written for.

Explanation for what the verse actually means:

-Arnval is MMS Type Angel, so here, she is referred to as simply "the Angel."

-The part about her wielding light as a weapon is a reference to some of Arnval's gear; in addition to a rifle and a pistol, she carries a pair of lightsabers, and she also has a large laser rifle weapon.

-For the verse number, I took the first number from Arnval's wave number, Wave 1. For the second, I took the date Arnval was released, September 7, 2006, and added the number of the day to the number of the month...except I completely screwed up the math (7+9 is 16, not 18) thanks to my bottomless stupidity. Though, since the Arnval I have is Arnval Tranche 2, the updated exclusive version of the original figure, I suppose you could say that the extra 2 was added in to reference the fact that this is the second version of Arnval to be released (ignoring the Dengkei exclusive black repaint).

-Speaking of Arnval being an update, the fact that this quote was taken from the "second edition" of the Book of Konami is also a reference to Arnval being an Arnval Tranche 2.
